Different Approach

I am constantly surprised at how differently Chod and I handle situations with Bentley. Yesterday morning Bentley woke up very grumpy. This is how we handled it

Me: I picked him up and cuddled with him hoping his whining would soon end. Because moms are comforters

Chod: "Bentley, if you will be happy you can watch Curious George." Because dads are fun.

Bentley sat up looked at Chod, smiled, jumped down and ran over to his chair and waited for the movie to start.

I never would have thought to turn on a movie, but it worked.
