Organized Chaos

I like to plan things. My life runs more smoothly if I plan in advance. I married a non-planner. I am in the middle of planning a family reunion for my husband's family, a get together lunch for college friends, organizing a family newsletter, pushing my dad to make his dream a reality. I think I thrive off of planning and organizing. One day I will be an event planner--and get paid to plan. The family reunion is coming along nicely. The newsletter goes out tonight. The friend get-together seems to be on track, although now I don't even want to go. Too bad I guess, if the organizer backs out that is bad. I'm not sure if I'm doing the pushing or pulling though with my dad. I think he is paralyzed by the thought of success.
Not only do I like to plan, but I like to buy gifts in advance. I know what we are giving my father-in-law for Father's Day, just bought my husband's Father's Day gift....but now what to get my dad for his birthday (6 days away) and Father's Day?

Weekend of Firsts

This past weekend was pretty busy for Bentley. Friday night he attended his first Annual Warren BBQ. It was the 8th Annual BBQ celebrating the survival of the big blast of an exploding gas tank. We sure are glad Grandpa Warren made it through the explosion. Saturday his first tooth came through. Its taken a few weeks to get here, but now he has his very first pearly white. He attended his first concert. His Uncle Chris performed in Burley and Bentley was there with the rest of the ChrisHartwell.com fan club. He liked the music and sat upright and watched the show until he was completely exhausted.

Frustration in eBaying

So my sister and I found this Fransceco Biasia purse at a yard sale, bought it for $1 and just sold it on eBay for $56. Not too bad of a return if you ask me. Well for some reason I haven't been able to figure out, the PayPal account listed on the auction was a very old one of mine and I can no longer access it. The buyer has been very good to work with, but we still haven't resolved this problem through email and even after numerous emails to PayPal I still don't know what to do. Since what they tell me and what is actually happening isn't matching up. I don't know how to help the buyer out and I am afraid he is running out of patience for a stupid mistake on my end.

Sleeping Soundly

Sleeping little boy. He looked so cute and peaceful.

Sloggin' Chicken

Yesterday I had the experience of going to the Idaho Falls Cannery to can chicken chunks. What a day! It was a mad house, so many people, not enough jobs or boots or aprons for everyone. I was one of them that went without boots. So for 5 hours I walked around in chicken juice (is it possible to get samonella through your toes....ewww). Ladies get pretty protective of there food and sometimes they are just stupid. This one lady wouldn't step aside when they were moving tubs in and out. Instead she would lean on me, she's lucky she didn't get an elbow in the ribs cause I don't like people in my space. Honestly, did she think it was helping by staying in their way and slowing me down by laying on my left arm. Annoying.

Everyone's Doing It

It seems like I am the only person in the whole world who isn't blogging. The entire population of planet Earth can't be wrong...so I've decided to give it a go. Who knows, I may end up liking this whole thing.
