Linky Tornado
The forecast shows our Linky Tornado to be picking up speed throughout the day with likely touch downs in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.
Linky Tornado: Garbage digger, potting soil dumper, juice box squeezer, bookshelf emptier, toilet paper un-roller, toilet splasher, battery chewer, dishwasher climber, food thrower.
It's a good thing he is cute.

2 reasons I love my B
This morning as I was picking up the front room he asked "Mom, why do you make our house so beautiful?"
And tonight he was in charge of Family Home Evening treats. I suggested the cookies we made yesterday, but he insisted on having ice cubes.

Lost in translation
"Bentley, go ask dad if he wants to go for a walk and we can make a treat when we get home."
"Okay." As he walks to the bottom of the stairs and yells up.
"Hey Dad, do you want to watch basketball while we make you a treat?!"

Hitchin a ride
While the horn is hands-down Bentley's favorite part of his bike, Lincoln took instant notice of the little rack on the back.
I'm not sure its intended purpose but Lincoln climbed right on--at least he tried too. He has pretty short legs for such a climb. And every time the bike comes out, Link comes a running. He holds on tight and off they go!
See ya later boys! Here's hoping for many more years of the little brother tagging along.

If you give a mouse a dresser
She'll want to refinish it.
So she will buy a sander.
And then she will want to paint it.
So she will buy paint.
Then she will want to put it in her front room.
So she will buy a new TV.
And she will want new accent pillows to match the dresser.
And she will want a new chair.
And a new rug.
Soon the free dresser is the most expensive piece of furniture in the house.

I'll take what he's got
Doctor's orders are to increase Bentley's caloric intake. Butter, olive oil, ground flax seed, and Carnation Instant Breakfast in addition to breakfast are the prescription. For most people this wouldn't be a problem.
All he wanted for dinner was Jell-O. It was sugar free of course.
Deidra poured red milk (whole) on his cereal. He was mad because he wanted green milk (1%).
He takes his toast with just honey--no butter.
The kid is obsessed with healthy foods, unless it is chocolate. And he will specify, "Me wants something that is not healthy and is really yummy and it is chocolate." He asks which foods are healthy or not healthy and will tell you that to be healthy you need to eat healthy foods, exercise, and sleep.
We tell him that basically everything is healthy [if you don't eat too much of it], just for the sake of argument.
If only I had that problem....

Kissable, Huggable, Loveable, Unbelievable!
At 18 months our Linky is still a heartbreaker with those eyes! The other day a lady stopped me to say "That Lincoln is so cute, I just want to squish him!" Which may be the best way to describe him, he is very squishable.
As much as the girls like him, he may like them more. He is a little pigtail chaser. Really, the hair of little girls is fascinating to him. Just this week he found girls at Borders, DownEast, the gym and playgroup that he couldn't leave alone. And let's not even get started on the girlfriend he has in nursery. She is older and makes sure she has an arm around him and plants kisses on his head.
Lincoln also loves to dance to a good beat. If there isn't a song playing, Ring Around the Rosies will get him moving too.
He is so little that people think he is an early walker. When I say he is 18 months old they aren't nearly as impressed.
"What?" his is favorite word which he says like a thug. He signs a little bit--more, food, all done and says other things like cup and "I do!" but just when we play the Who loves... game.
It appears he will also be a lefty. No more lefty comments from Chod as he is fiercely outnumbered.
We love our squishable Linky!

Vacuum's gonna get it
I know it won't last forever, but there's nothing like the fear of the vacuum to get Bentley to pick up his toys!
I plan on enjoying every last second of it.

Not quite Martha
I've never claimed to be the best homemaker around, but I think I can normally hold my own. But there are those days I am reminded I've still got a way to go.
Like last week when Chod came home from work and asked if I had washed the windows.
"Nope. Do they look cleaner?"
Looking at the windows, "Well, no. But it smells cleaner in here."
"That would be the Scentsy." (grapefruit pomegranate. citrus always smells clean)
Or Sunday when he got home from meetings and I was in the kitchen fixing dinner.
"Who are you fixing dinner for?"
"You."
"Oh, you don't have to take a meal to someone?"
Because he has caught on that a real means there's another family to be fed as well.
Yep. There's still work to be done.
