Want vs. Need

Bentley has discovered that "need" is a magical word.

It is no wonder where he gets it from. Our daily conversations consist of things like this:
You need to get dressed.
Do you need your diaper changed?
You need to take a nap.
We need to run to the store.

He used to just say, "Mom, I need a drink."

And would I hand over the cup of water.

But his need list has grown. Yesterday he needed banana bread and a cookie. During sacrament meeting he told me "I need Jack". (Jack is his little friend that is in the same nursery class).

It's time he learns the difference between his wants and his needs, and maybe another magic word that sounds like cheese.
